Learning Journey Day 6

In Punui-o-toka we have been working on our learning journey. Our first activity is to list three things o how to keep Christchurch tidy and clean. Our second activity is to draw or take a photo of what is relaxing for us . Our bonus activity is to reflect. What we liked what we did not like? If there was any thing that surprised us?

I would :
1. Pick up all the rubbish I see on way any to any where
2. I would design and make more signs to stop people polluting river's
3. reduce cutting down tree's

My relaxing thing is to draw. Draw is the only thing I would choose first.

What I liked about the learning Journey was it took me a lot into my imagination.
Image result for Hector dolphinThe things that I hated was I did not finish my work at school and my internet at home takes a long time  to turn on and then I don't get to finish my work. I loved the learning Journey because I got to draw and do some crafty stuff.I learnt lot's about animals one of the animal's is he Hector dolphin.

Learning Journey 6

In Punui-o-toka we have been working on our learning Journey. Our first activity was to make a poem about if we were the first people or person to see New Zealand. In the poem we had to answer this question. How would we have felt when we arrived in New Zealand? Were we scared or exited. For our second activity we had to choose 3 things of the highlight's what we might want to do or watch. For our bonus activity we had to listen to three Al black's haka's and list the best to the worst.
My first day at New Zealand
I can see thick bushes and tall massive tree’s.
I can hear birds chirping to their mother’s “we are hungry”.
I can smell the salty air from the ocean.
I feel a bit scared but at the same time I am excited.

I would like to listen to astronomy.
I would like to watch the Kapa Haka group.
I would like to watch Matariki Ritual
I loved all off the haka's I could not choose but I had to.
The 3rd haka was the best.
The 1st haka was the 2nd best.
The 2nd haka was the last best
Here are the link's for the Haka's.

    1st Haka

Learning Journey Day 5

In Punui-o-toka we have been working on our learning Journey. Our first activity was to write a 8 -10 sentence story of what we might be feeling seeing and doing after we realise that we were all alone in a forest. Our second activity was to choose a famous New Zealander and make a DLO about that person. I choose Ernest Rutherford. For our bonus activity we had to write whether we would like to ride our bike on the Otago Rail Trail one day. We had to write a few answer's to these question's. Does it sound like fun?

“AHH”! I'm all alone in a strange forest. Where have my group gone where is curious Kiwi? What will I do now. I'm stuck in a unusual forest. I'm getting really really scared because of the scary sounds in the Forest. There were creepy crawlies on the ground. Then I thought to myself and said in my head “if I yell someone in my group might hear”. So I yelled as loud as I could “HELP ME” and my friend heard me so he said in his loudest voice “I am”.
Finally my group found me and we found our way back.
Here is a link to give you more information about Ernest Rutherford.

I would try it out because I am not really good and riding a bike on skinny tracks.
It sounds like lot's of fun I probably wouldn't be patient and my normal is being patient.

learning Journey Day 4

In Punui-o-toka we have been working on our learning Journey. Our first activity was to write the steps that people did so they can keep them alive. For our bonus activity we had to write our opinion on should we still fish at Farewell spit.

The people put towels on the Wales and filled bucket's and bottle's with water and they tipped the water on them. Then the people waited for the expert's to come and help them.

I think that they should band fishing at Farewell spit because we do not want our dolphins to extinct and dolphins are friendly and nice people like to swim with them and they can make that place for people to swim with dolphins or watch them jump and swim.

1. Hector dolphins can grow up to 1.5 meter's
2. They get caught in fishing net's alot
3. They now are really rare

Learning Journey day 3

In Punui-o-toka for reading we have been working on our learning journey. For our first activity is to go to this link Adopt a critter and then choose a animal to adopt. Then when we choose our animal and we have to write about the animal. Like what it's eat's? Where does it normally live? What does it do?For Activity 2 we had to write 3 reason's of what we think of killing possums or keeping them alive. For our bonus activity we had to design a Moa foot I made mine really big so it can look real.

I choose the Morepork. A Morepork it's an owl. They  eat's Weta, huhu beetle's, Moth's, Cicadas, Mice, young Rat's.A Morepork can fly silently.
Here is a link Moreporks to show you more about the Morepork.

I say that we should make trap's for them and send them back from where they came from or just kill them. My first reason is possums eat's our kiwi's and kill them.My second reason is they ruin our tree's by eating all the fruit on it and it makes it harder for farmer's.My third reason is they eat' all of the beautiful flower's.

I tried to make the Moa foot real by putting the foot on the grass and taking a snapshot
