Letter Art

We have had the Lfe Education come and the other class went so we did art. We needed to write the first letter of our name in  fancy big writing.Mrs S helped me draw the letter s for my name and I continued. I first drew in my border and then I started to color in my S. I colored it rainbow and it looks like  the colors are melting into each other then I colored the border in.

  1. Hi Sandra I like the way you have made your S look like a rainbow. My name starts with an S too, maybe if you outlined it with a black permanent marker it would stand out more. Are you displaying this in the classroom?

    1. Hi Mrs Gatehouse
Thank-you for your comment. Looking back now I could have put the black line around the S. I think that if I did it would of made it stand out more.

  2. Wow! Sandra, I just love the colours you have used in your picture. It looks specially cool because you have blended the colours really well. It takes care and precision and attention to detail. This is what a good artist does. It is interesting to see that you have used the American spelling of 'color'. In New Zealand we spell it with a u such as 'colour'. Do you think that if you had drawn a black outline with a vivid around the S, that it would make the colours stand out more?

  3. Hello Mr breach and Mr Goodin
Thanks for your comment. I use the word "color" instead of "colour" because a red line pops up underneath the word and then when I correct it it turns into the american word. I realised that it would look better if I had drawn a black line. What other suggestions do you have that I could have done to make my drawing better?
