Inquiry-Change

For Inquiry we have been learning about change. Our experiment was putting vinegar and baking soda together. It was very cool because when the cork fell it touched the roof and left foam. I knew the cork was going to fly off but I did not think it would touch the roof.

Your teacher will show you a range of ingredients/  equipment that will be used…

Make a hypothesis (guess) about the following

What do you think will happen?

I think that when you put the vinegar and the baking soda together will explode and the cork will fly
off because when you mix vinegar and baking soda causes carbon dioxide and that is what makes
the cork fly off the bottle.

What do you think these will be?
Reactants
Baking Soda and Vinegar and a bottle
Product
Foam
Chemical Reaction
The chemical reaction is when it rises and fizzes up.

Was your hypothesis right/ wrong? Why?
Yes it was correct because I have done it it before.
