SLG Day 5 Week 1

Blink and You’ll Miss It

I think logging should be allowed but to a limit. If we do it too much there will be big problems. But if we don't do it at all lot's of people won't have any jobs and we will have a lot of homeless people.

1. If we cut down all the trees animals will need to find new homes.

2.  The bigger problem is if we cut down all the trees and don't replant them we won't have any oxygen.

  1. Hi Sandra,

You have summarised the issues really well. I totally agree with you. I think we need to be very careful with how much we log, but the areas we log now are trees that have been planted for that purpose - and it is providing work for a lot of people.

I would hate to see native forests logged now (people used to log them) and I am glad that big areas of native forest in NZ are protected. They are called National Parks.

    Nice work!
