    Hi Sandra,

    Are these things that cause air pollution? Some of my family live in Timaru, and the smog as been very bad there in the past. I think it is getting a lot better now. It is particularly bad in winter when people are using their fires.

    I learned that the word 'smog' is a combination of 'smoke' and 'fog' - interesting right?!
