I think that the rule should stay how it is. If we fish to much in one area people will do that in different places. Soon lots of types of fish will go extinct. It also makes it harder for the people who are try to help breeds fish improve.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more! It seems a harsh punishment (and a lot of money) but we have to do all we can to protect of natural environment. There's an area just outside of Auckland called Goat Island Marine Reserve where people are no longer allowed to fish. You're allowed to snorkel and dive there though so you can see all of the different kinds of fish that have been able to grow and live there without the threat of fishermen. It's really quite beautiful. Are there any marine reserves around Christchurch area?
